During the construction of the cofferdam and the sheet pile wall, Park Construction Company employed 56 Native American operators, laborers, and pile drivers. What is even more remarkable is that Park Construction Company supervisors trained many of the employees supplied by the Spirit Lake Tribe during the course of construction. Moreover, these two highly dangerous operations were completed accident free. There were no injuries or serious accidents during fast paced high intensity construction project.
