Case Study: Pipe Utility

Project Location: City of Eagan
Location: Eagan, MN
Completion Date: November 2008

This project entailed street and utility improvements for the city of Eagan, MN. The existing two lane road was transformed into a four lane divided highway. Park Construction Company was responsible for all removals on the project, as well as the excavation of over 140,000 cubic yards. In addition, Park Construction Company installed approximately 2½ miles of storm sewer. As the prime contractor, Park Construction Company was also responsible for scheduling utilities and subcontractors in order to meet the required completion dates. Major subcontractors involved in this project included electrical, erosion control/landscaping, concrete curb and gutter, bituminous paving, and retaining walls. The contract was administered by the city of Eagan as well as the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
